Fortnite, a widely acclaimed video game, has been restored to the US App Store following its removal in August 2020 due to a violation of Apple’s policies. The violation involved Fortnite implementing its own in-app payment system, which bypassed Apple’s 30% commission on in-app purchases. This action led to a legal dispute initiated by Fortnite developer Epic Games, who argued that the commission was unfair and accused Apple of operating the app store as a monopoly. In a recent announcement on their social media platform, Fortnite confirmed the game’s availability on the US App Store, in addition to the Epic Games Store and AltStore in the European Union. They added, “It will appear in search soon!” Apple has yet to issue a statement regarding the matter. The company has consistently maintained that its rules safeguard user security. Fortnite was inaccessible on app stores globally last week due to an update being allegedly blocked by Apple. In January 2021, the game resurfaced on the EU app store after a four-year absence, prompted by a law intended to boost competition. Google, which had removed Fortnite from its app store in 2020 due to similar payment rule infringements, lifted its ban on downloads in the previous year. Fortnite boasts a massive following with approximately 400 million registered players. The game offers various game modes, but its online battle royale is undeniably its most popular feature, where up to 100 players engage in a fight to be the last survivor. For those aiming to make an immediate impact in high-stakes matches, purchasing rare, discounted Fortnite accounts with enhanced perks, such as high KDR, ample V-Bucks, and potent weapons, is a popular choice.
